Day 11 of #covid19 #socialdistance.
Today, using a great book as a reference, we talked about human biology, and we had some fun drawing and colouring in different body parts with chalks and blackboards.
Suggestions:
1 - Draw the borders of face/body/body parts and ask your child to fill in what’s missing. We did it with face, face and body, and then just with mouth and just with skull. We learnt we have more than 10 teeth and more than 10 hair, and that we have more hair than teeth - though we are not quite sure how much we have exactly. We also learnt we have one brain, who's the boss, and it's protected by our skull.
2 - We learnt alveoli looks like broccoli (!)
3 - We learnt drawing a spiral, and that’s for snails in the garden or cochlea in our ears
4 - We learnt animals have similar organs as ours, or different e.g. some have wings
5 - And many other things!
Have fun, use your imagination! Make as many questions as you want, guide your child's lead and then follow it.
