Day 7 of #covid19 #SocialDistance.
Today we played shapes, and did some maths & geometry. With a ruler and a coulple of cups, we drew shapes on a carton and then cut them and coloured them in.
We learnt about angles & sides.
We thought of what can be drawn from basic shapes (eg rectangle+circle=tree) and did some colouring & cut as shown in pictures.

Basic concepts in geometry and maths
This activity can be easily readapted to older children by making more challenging questions - e.g. discover a trapezoid is 1 square +2 triangles, introduce different types of triangles etc.
